THERE lies also in Upper Sweden a famous lake called Malaren, about which a great many wonderful facts have been related above in Bk II, in particular that it contains more fish than any other waters in the North1and that on it a large number of famous noblemen have built castles and palaces, amply furnished in the fashion of that people.2
