A systems analysis of team working in human supervisory control
Energy transportation companies have undergone some major organisational changes since the de-mergers, they have transformed from public utilities into private commercial companies. Inevitably this has required the organisation to become even more efficient in its operation to compete in the commercial world. These changes, amongst others, have had a dramatic effect upon the organisational culture, and the operational climate has changed accordingly. Changes include the reduction in the number of control centres operating around the country. One of the main problems for the new control centres was overcoming the diversity in operational practices that previously existed.
