ABSTRACT
Third, studies have revealed that subtle variations in task similarity can also influence dual-task performance. For instance, Hirst and Kalmar (1987) revealed that performance depends on the semantic similarity of each activity. Multiple resources cannot reconcile these data, unless each semantic category is assumed to constitute a separate pool.
