ABSTRACT

Geologically, this occurrence of tin in some of the Malayan iron-ores, though interesting, is not surprising. ere is no reason to suppose that the tin and iron have been deposited contemporaneously. Elsewhere in the Peninsula tin-ores have been in many cases introduced into Triassic rocks from the intruding granites, and there is no reason why, where these Triassic rocks contain deposits of iron-ore, the tin-bearing solutions should con ne their activities to the accompanying rocks and refrain from impregnating the iron-ores.
