Special reference may be made to the important piece goods trade. In this trade the rst channel indicated above is followed, and European rms in Siam buy in Europe on account of dealers in Siam. ese dealers usually indent for particular “chops” or brands. e successful European rms have their own “chops” or marks for particular lines of goods; such “chops” become known and popular in the Bazaar, and it is for goods of a particular “chop” or mark that the Bazaar dealer asks.
