ABSTRACT

The issue of notation comes out, at least in my own musical perspective, when there is a dilemma, when there is a problem to be solved. And that pushes me to find solutions that maybe I was never pushed to find before. That happens, of course, mostly when there is a certain amount of indeterminacy that is needed in order to gain a certain result … the larger issue, the scope of the work, the reason, if you want, both the technical and expressive reason of the work, that justifies the local situation. That must be seen in perspective. 1
