ABSTRACT
What is probably one of the most exhaustive statistical investigations ever conducted has now been brought to a successful conclusion. We are referring to the labours of the joint committee of the Institute of Actuaries of England and the Faculty of Actuaries of Scotland in compiling a new life table, based on the experience of some 60 British offices during the 30 years ended the 31st December 1892.
