ABSTRACT
Ozone exposures are elusive! The symptoms may mimic another airborne substance. The source of ozone may be one, or a combination, of the following:
Outdoor exposures entrained with a building
Office equipment
Ozone generators
Ion particle air cleaning units
When the sampling duration for ozone is between three and eight hours, because there is a 20- to 30-minute half-life for ozone, the exposure levels may vary considerably from extreme highs to extreme lows during the sampling period.
To address the variability of exposure levels during sampling, a direct reading data-logging instrument can be used to capture this information. Thus, an instrument can provide a diagnostic measure and be used to fill in the gaps of knowledge.
