ABSTRACT

Reading Between the Lines consists of a collection of short practice texts. At the end of each text, the child is asked key questions. The answers can be inferred from the text but are not directly stated. Nine main areas of inference are covered. The material in Part 1 of the book contains texts referring to object, action, instrument, place, occupation, category, character, emotion, cause and effect, time and era. The material in Part 2 contains mixed question types and short stories.
