ABSTRACT

As founder of the Harvest Products Company (THPC), Madecadel was in the middle of an internal war that concerned the course of his company. The World Economic Forum declares, in the Global Competitiveness Report of 2014, that El Salvador had in 2013 a gross domestic product (GDP) around US$24.5 billion, with a population of 6.3 million people. The THPC is a family-run company established in 1989 with equity of US$11,000, beginning in the Barriere family's living room as a natural person company. THPC took advantage of governmental economic policies to provide support to small and medium companies producing ethnic foods. For being a 100% natural product, the target market aimed for was that with the greatest purchasing power. One of the most important THPC product importers is Kepix Corp., which is made up of a group of Central American companies, seeking to be efficient in the international market, through market research, logistics, financial support, adaptability, creativity, and customer support.
