ABSTRACT

The Analog Discovery (AD) board has a wire harness with pins for connecting to differential oscilloscopes, waveform generators, power supplies, and a logic analyzer. The Waveforms software connects to the AD board and provides an easy-to-use graphical interface for virtual instruments. The AD virtual instruments consist of the following: oscilloscope and arbitrary waveform generator. The AD virtual instruments consist of the following: logic analyzer; digital pattern generator; and static I/O. The Waveforms software can be used to produce analog and digital signals and can acquire, analyze, and store signals. Furthermore, scope data can be exported in multiple formats to other application software, such as Microsoft Excel. The Spectrum Analyzer instrument is found under the More Instruments tab in the AD Waveforms software package. The available waveforms under the advanced button are amplitude modulated and frequency modulated waveforms. In addition, the frequency of the modulating signal and the modulation index can also be selected.
