ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the determination of impedance of circuit, measurements involving complex power, and the way to obtain the frequency response of networks. It discusses while impedances, the phase difference between two sinusoids. In addition, the rms value of signals will be measured with the Analog Discovery (AD) board. Furthermore, the Network Analyzer will be used to obtain the magnitude response of a network. The Network Analyzer of the AD board can be used to plot the magnitude and phase characteristics of a circuit. The chapter provides the Network Analyzer of the Analog Discovery board to obtain the frequency response of a RLC resonant circuit. The Network Analyzer uses both oscilloscope channels as the input and output channels. Open up the Network Analyzer that can be found under the More Instruments tab. To measure the current, a known value resistor will be placed in series with the circuit under test.
