ABSTRACT
Turkish flag is at Paris MoU’s white list since 2008; but according to the inspections conducted in 2016, Turkish flag is in risk of falling into the grey list. Flag state has initiated an intensive inspection campaign, due to unsatisfactory standards of Turkish flagged vessels in terms of seafarers’ qualifications, safety drills and ISM applications. In this study, the statistical analysis has performed for the deficiencies identified for the Turkish Flagged vessels; also, the changes in Turkish vessels have put forth, and recommendations have presented to correct these deficiencies.
