ABSTRACT

When the campaign ends, or at the end of the academic term, a campaign evaluation is completed. If the campaign ended during the term because the group won or lost, the evaluation provides important information for social action campaigns to be undertaken by future students. If the campaign is on-going, then the group will be writing the evaluation for the next group who may decide to continue the campaign in the following academic term. There are nine areas that compose a campaign evaluation, and they include an analysis of issue identification, recruitment, research, media outreach, group dynamics, leadership, strategy and tactics, campaign implementation, and lessons learned. Based on these nine areas, the group will write up an evaluation to be placed in the campaign notebook. In addition, the group will design a 20- to 25-minute presentation of the evaluation. This presentation might be a skit, a lecture, a PowerPoint presentation, or any other presentation format.
