ABSTRACT
Chapter 1 is devoted to introducing the research method and stories of women with disabilities participating in this research. Grounded theory method has been employed as a research method in this book with the purpose to generate a substantive theory of the marriages of women with disabilities in rural China. The research process, including how data is collected, recorded, and analyzed, has been illustrated in this chapter. Then it moves to discuss criteria to guarantee the credibility of this study. The remaining section of this chapter portrays stories of nineteen women interviewed in the book.
