ABSTRACT

A great deal of significant attention has been devoted by Professor Kotarbinski to problems of authorship. Questions of differences between efficiency and causativeness thought in normative way are important while studying the problem of ethical aspect of authorship. Creating new beings-as the result of acting always brings some ethical risk. And the causative subject's attitude towards itself is a matter of importance. By the 'art of living' Professor Kotarbinski means the ability for rational selection and the way of acting by any individual. In human acting always exist different but often simultaneous, forced situations. The only things which change are their kind and graduation. In the conception of action by Kotarbinski there is the profound relation between protection and conscience. The autonomy of values and disinterested way of treating them enables, to some extent, joining of ethical causation with striving for happiness.
