ABSTRACT

Redefined Labour Spaces seeks to examine the imperative of new collective organisation in India, covering a wide spectrum of informal and formal workers, in order to critically understand the new waves of alternative mobilisations. The book makes a seminal contribution in deepening the understanding of the present Indian labour spaces, where, despite the constrains imposed by the processes emanating from the neo-liberal policies; simultaneously, new possibilities for resistance, negotiation and collective action and articulation are emerging.
