ABSTRACT
As we make more mashups we will get better and faster at picking the right techniques to help us solve different problems. Each time we finish and export a mashup, make sure Ableton Live is closed and move the session folder for that particular mashup into our 'old' subfolder. During the stage where we are creating our mashup ideas list by matching together songs by key, try also looking at our finished mashups for inspiration. Once we have decided on our arrangement and made sure the old mashup sections are the right lengths to fit it, create splits in our new track and move the sections we want into the timeline of the mashup, lining them up with the old main track. Once we have mastered the art of mashup creation, we can use the techniques we have learned to create other useful DJ tools.
