This part comprises sections on labour, materials and plant for civil engineering work. These resources form the basis of the unit costs in Parts 6 and 7 and are given so that users of the book may:
Calculate rates for work similar to, but differing in detail from, the unit costs given
Compare the costs given here with those used in their own organization
Calculate the effects of changes in wage rates, material prices, etc.
