ABSTRACT

Extreme sports are quite fragmented. There are professional bodies who conduct selected extreme sports involving interested athletes. For the individual, extreme sports is a combination of having thrill and fun at their own expense. Marketing is a very important technique that is often used for any sport but is particularly useful for something newer and more innovative like extreme sports. One of the biggest challenges in the case of extreme sports marketers is how to maintain the level of excitement in the bottom marketing funnel. Assuming that excitement in the upper funnel is created by various events, blogs, and shows, there is a huge challenge to keep the excitement going in extreme sports in the lower half of the marketing funnel. A number of sports will become more complex and new sports will emerge. It has been observed that Olympic sports are becoming less and less popular.
