ABSTRACT

Business in Russia can be run individually or collectively. The collective form of running a business has strong advantages. Entrepreneurial activity of legal entities in Russia may be conducted only by a commercial organization, among which, in addition to corporate business entities, are state and municipal unitary enterprises. These enterprises do not assume the presence of a private founder. Legitimation of the division of legal entities into corporate and non-corporate is an innovation of Russian civil law. A commercial corporation in Russia assumes the need to unite the property contributions of the founders to create it. Sometimes an association of persons is also required. So, the main distinctive feature of a corporate business entity lies in the fact of the participation in an organization. There are several types of corporate business entities in Russia now: business (joint stock and limited liability) company, business (unlimited and limited) partnership, economic partnership, peasant farm enterprise, and production cooperative. Despite the common features, each type of corporate business entity has some significant peculiarities. This allows people to choose the most suitable type of corporate business entity under certain specific conditions.
