ABSTRACT
The “totemic wave” was obviously part of a historical conjuncture of the two last sub phases of the Late Mesolithic. In this chapter, I address the following questions: Was this influence stronger in some regions compared with others? Is it possible to measure the totemic impact in different regions? This chapter presents simple calculations of the number of animal figures with body design followed by a discussion of the result.
