ABSTRACT
Money, Market Dealing' is a post-graduate finance subject taught at the university campus, a campus that specialises in post-graduate business degrees in a faculty that attracts a high number of international students as well as local industry people upgrading their qualifications. STARLab is a high tech, purpose-built facility in a large room with circular tables for six or so people, upon which sit computers for each student equipped with market simulation software. Jeff declares his role is the chief executive officer and, as such, that they will be formally reporting to him in a business report format. Public attention to financiers who have flouted the law has put the spotlight on the possible failure, and the concomitant responsibilities, of higher education institutions in the ethical education of students. The loans and deposits module was the second module of the course.
