The practicalities of using assessment management to develop evaluative judgement

ByCath Ellis

However worthy the theoretical principles of evaluative judgment are, they are worthless unless they are also practicable. This is particularly challenging in a higher education sector that is increasingly dominated by modularisation and massification. This chapter considers some of the questions we need to address in order to develop efficient and effective technical solutions that support the development of students’ evaluative judgement at scale and across even the most complex degree programmes.
