ABSTRACT
In Chapter 5, an economic dispatch method for one single area power system is considered. In this chapter, the economic dispatch for a multi-area power system is carried out. Firstly, two distributed multi-cluster optimization algorithms are proposed. Then we prove the convergence of the proposed two multi-cluster algorithms. Lastly, we apply the proposed algorithms to solve the multi-area ED problem.
