ABSTRACT
Experiment II attempted to replicate the findings of Experiment I by using 14 new formulas. If the competence and performance models of previous sections can also account for these new formulas, our theory would have a greater claim to generality and validity. Consequently, the following 14 formulas were chosen for study in Experiment II. None had appeared in Experiment I.
