ABSTRACT

When interpreting an axiomatization such as Grize’s, the symbols “→,” “∨,” “&” and “−” usually need not be assigned a meaning. They are the general logical words used to describe the connections between the nonlogical words that refer to the test materials. However, since we are not describing a realm of knowledge (such as the logic of classes or distances) but rather a set of tasks given to test knowledge, we must decide how the logical symbols reflect features of the tasks.
