ABSTRACT

An explanation of the journalism job titles found in a range of magazines, including B2B titles. Changes in the periodical publishing industry mean that full-time staff jobs are becoming scarce, although there remain some opportunities to work abroad. The perceived blurring of the borders between journalism and PR means that moving into PR is an increasingly popular option for some journalists thanks to the better security and pay it may offer. For many journalists, though, PR is anathema.
