ABSTRACT

This chapter considers the question of whether or not approaches inspired by ANT can help us think about spaces of affect. Using an autobiographical point of departure, the chapter then considers a number of working arrangements between ANT and affect, foregrounding in particular the relation between affects and objects. This discussion is given focus by considering briefly how ANT offers a way of thinking about affective atmospheres. The value of this ANT in this respect is qualified to some degree by a tendency to focus on the technical rather than the aesthetic aspects of affective space-times.
