ABSTRACT

World Settings create the background for one's scene. This is the shading in general for the rendered background to the Scene and not to be confused with the 3D window background. Blender opens with the default Blender Scene with the default Cube at the center. The Cube is the only object that renders. The varying effects from the different light sources are infinitely variable making it somewhat difficult to demonstrate with a defined logic. The World buttons allows one to create a background effect for a rendered image. With the mouse cursor in the 3D window, pressing F12 renders an image opening the UV/lmage editor window in place of the Timeline window. This also shows the colored background. A mist effect can be introduced in a Scene to add atmosphere. To assist in setting the Mist Effect limits may be displayed in the 3D window when in Solid Viewport Shading display mode.
