ABSTRACT

Interviewing remains a central part of newspaper and other print or electronic journalism. Newspapers, company newsletters, and online blogs continue to use the interview as a critical mode of conveying the news. Learning Objectives: The successful reader will be able to explain how sources are gathered and interviewed for news stories; how to deal with various sources; decide whether they should record or take notes during the interview; and explain the various levels of confidentiality.
