ABSTRACT
Most music changes with time to tell a story. A compelling mix must follow these changes, and can even enhance them or create some of them from scratch. To be able to quickly anticipate musical events, you need to build your mixing environment like an instrument you can play. With such an instrument, any mix move you want to try is only a fader away, and there are plenty of manual solutions ready to be applied to problems that take forever to fix with automated processing.
