ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book describes the "Karl Marx and Charles Fourier: Criticism of Contemporary Society and New Philosophical Anthropology" by Riccardo Soliani, and aims at comparing the dialectic between philosophical anthropology and transformation of society in Marx and Fourier. It discusses "The Self and the Others. Recognition and Subjective Well-Being: Some Empirical Evidences", and deals with the links between interpersonal relations, economic behaviour and subjective well-being. The book also describes "On Levinas's Political 'Theory': A Two-Dimensional Conception of Justice from the Perspective of Equality", and focuses on Emmanuel Levinas's conception of justice as based on his original account of the being. It deals with "The 'Recognition' of the Other as a Pre-requisite for Fair Market Prices" to further develop the application of the philosophical grounds of recognition to economic exchanges through the theorization of the legal elements behind economic processes.
