ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book talks about much more than project management, because it took a broad definition both of project and of management. It analyses a preliminary belief, the research process strengthened and illustrated this premise in many ways. In this sense, the debate that was opened raises awareness on the importance of the development of some key skills among project managers, namely that of mindfulness. The book considers to contribute to the emergence of new paradigms, especially one in which the arts, morals, and sciences become complementary to each other as ways of investigating the world and of generating knowledge. It explains there was a recurrent reminder of what one might have lost when decided as a society that art is merely something that artists do. The book focuses towards an audience of managers, not necessarily other artists.
