ABSTRACT

The descriptions of the works of art in all the beautiful museums of Russia are universally associated with anti-religious and anti-bourgeois propaganda. These works of art are exported abroad and sold to find the money for industrializing the country. There are no greater extremes than the world of antique culture and the destroyers of all culture, prosperity and freedom for mankind—the Bolsheviks. The antique world was a world of culture, a world of artistic beauty. Bolshevism, with the whole force of its thick-skinned ideology, turns against that very world. Bolshevism is the denial of and the fight against all that is artistic, all that is beautiful. Paganism, in order to erect one building, was willing to send to their death a thousand slaves. Bolshevism, to save a single factory, is ready to sacrifice not one cathedral in Rheims, but all the cathedrals in Europe and all the sculpture in the world.
