ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the processes needed to carry out the Enrollment Plan, the Project Management Plan, and the Project Documents for each agreed-upon periodic interval to fully meet the project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Execute Stage is the most underappreciated Stage or "unsung hero" in contemporary Project Management for Performance Improvement Teams because most people think of the "Product Development" or "System Development" activities when they hear "Execute" or "Execution." This Stage is the one most directly affected by the project application area or industry in that the product or result of the performance improvement project is actually modified or enhanced. As such, the vast majority of the project budget will be expended in performing and completing this Stage. The Vendor team was a small group of employees of a local Consulting Partner for the Vendor of the Commercial Off-The-Shelf system for which the pharmaceutical company had purchased a global license.
