ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book provides a brief overview of the supporting technologies for big data management and analytics (BDMA) and big data security and privacy (BDSP) which included data security and privacy, data mining, and cloud computing. It starts with a discussion of access control policies including authorization policies and role-based access control. The book discusses how policy visualization might be used to integrate multiple policies and focuses on relational databases systems. It introduces the notion of the cloud and semantic web technologies, also discusses the various service models and deployment models for the cloud and also provides a brief overview of cloud functions such as storage management and data management. The book stresses the need for mining data streams and presents a novel technique to detect new classes in concept-drifting data streams.
