ABSTRACT

The sensitive skin group might be divided into the "very sensitive skin" and "relatively or rather sensitive skin" groups. People reporting slightly sensitive skin were considered the same as people without sensitive skin. In five countries, namely Japan, Italy, Korea, Switzerland, and Germany, less than 10" of individuals reported that they did not have sensitive skin. In three countries, namely India, Brazil, and Belgium, more than 30" of individuals 15 years and older said that they do not have sensitive skin. Sensitive skin is thought to be a feminine problem. The prevalence data of sensitive skin in the three cities of China are much lower than those in Europe and the United States: Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. There was significant difference in the prevalence of sensitive skin among the three cities, which are located in different climatic and latitude regions, and between men and women.
