ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author suggests that if students are going to go and see a program in action, be certain students get the opportunity to participate. How the program gets implemented has both a short and a long response. The short response is that students can be a trailblazer and begin to implement the process as a sole practitioner. While this method may have its benefits, it leaves out the involvement of the total school as well as only transforming students’ individual classroom. The second KPI is that the journey has created a new normal for students’ educational system. There are ten very specific strategies for students to take in implementing the new normal. These strategies are go and see; focus on the process; do it now; gain knowledge; educate and train; break down silos; Poka Yoke; drive out fear; always a better way; and coach.
