ABSTRACT

The use of the Theory of Constraints-Lean-Six Sigma (TLS) Continuum within the transformed classroom must encompass everyone who has a stake in the outcomes. To transform the TLS Continuum classroom, it is necessary to reward experimentation. To better understand the direction in which the transformed classroom needs to change and the strategies behind them, it is necessary to review the characteristics of the transformed classroom. The legacy classroom was, and in many cases is, based on the view that the educated child will learn a standard body of knowledge based on the age and grade level of the student. This standard body of knowledge is pushed out to the students through a series of teaching methods grounded in the lesson plans and the developed curriculum. The first step is that transformed classrooms must create a constant purpose of doing what is necessary to improve the classroom environment. The second step is to adopt a new philosophy toward education.
