ABSTRACT

Chapter 11 enlists the science of the stream of consciousness to describe the egoless state of mind that is generated by egoless self-awareness, and it also explains why it is a healthy state of mind. It establishes that one sense in which the egoless mind is a healthy mind is that it does not create the normal pathologies of the ego. More importantly though, the egoless mind is healthy because it is a thriving and good-hearted state of mind in which a person is able to (1) naturally abide in the joy and goodness of the egoless mind while at the same time (2) becoming their true self, the person they really are, moment to moment. Chapter 11 also describes the processes by which egoless awareness generates this healthy state of mind. For example, the reader will learn that when they have nondual awareness of their thoughts and emotions, that those thoughts and emotions will dissolve and be transformed into the amused compassion, goodness, joy or primordial wisdom of the egoless mind. Chapter 11 concludes by describing the processes by which a person with an egoless mind realizes their true nature and becomes their true self.
