ABSTRACT

The ACT Matrix is a powerful and efficient tool to bring together the key components of the model in a way that allows for a rapid functional analysis of behaviour in the context of values. It is particularly useful in a coaching context where efficient communication of the fundamentals of the model is important. It also allows clients to efficiently make sense of their own unhelpful responses and build increasingly larger patters of committed action. This chapter will outline the basics of the Matrix, along with key tips of how to use it effectively in coaching sessions.
