ABSTRACT
IN our analysis of the organic structure of towns it was shown that they conformed more or less rigidly to certain conditions of growth. It was shown that they had business areas, shopping centres, residential areas, etc., etc., each varying in type with the different type of town, and further that in planning for the future it is necessary first of all to completely understand the mechanism of towns in order to be intimately acquainted with every tendency of use and growth.
