ABSTRACT
This chapter will examine some questions around people’s perceptions of social and legal equality, confidence in public institutions, trust in other people, and finally belief in institutions upholding morality. Comparisons will be made among the four Nordic countries and, in addition, the impact of background variables such as age, gender, education, income and urbanism will be studied.
