ABSTRACT

WASHINGTON, D.C.—I am sitting here, filled with a disbelief so profound about those of my fellow citizens who don’t seem to believe that we are in the grasp of horrendous health care and insurance problems that I could scream, were not so many others screaming! By now, we have all seen our young and determined president lay out the situation over and over again. Last Wednesday’s address to Congress was about as daring and eloquent a speech as any American president has given on such a crucial and complicated theme for a long, long time.
