ABSTRACT
No one will ever be able to put into words the whole long record of the goodness of Jane Addams. All the world knows that she made of Hull House a citadel of compassion where the dispossessed and the bewildered, the friendless and the forgotten have gone for refuge and refreshment and revival. There is no way to count the human beings whom she helped or to measure their benefits.
