ABSTRACT

—You seem to be about as idealistic and out of touch with reality as those you criticize. Why think that the transnational and transcultural dialogue and interaction you propose has a better chance of accomplishing positive results concerning globalization? I think that if it makes room, as you say, for a great diversity of peoples, initiatives, values, and ways of doing things, its chances of success are lessened, not increased. As the saying goes, many cooks spoil the broth.
