ABSTRACT

We are, of course, not surprised by data that indicate that stigmatization can lead to unequal a n d /o r unfair treat ment. We also tend to be more supportive of research projects that dig into society and drag out the evidence that people are not being treated the way they should be treated. However, the ethical and moral considerations experimenters must face in such research are the same as those of field experimenters with whose purposes we do not so readily sympathize.
