ABSTRACT
Reported by the sixth-century neo-platonic commentator Olympiodorus or maybe Damascius,2 Strato’s aporiai on Plato’s Phaedo deal with important points of the dialogue and present us with two orders of questions to be answered, namely (a) the evaluation of their degree of cogency and (b) the reconstruction of their positive philosophical background, if any.
