ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book examines the purpose of remind managers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders how to produce a product or service that people want. It give it to them at the right price, in order to make a suitable profit and create more jobs, without imagining for even a moment that it can all be done by algorithms—as software designers would have us believe. On the other hand, there is the typical complacency of small business entrepreneurs who acquire investment capital without a comprehensive business plan and pay no attention to time. It is true we produced automation and robotics to replace many of the dull and repetitive laboring jobs in industry and do them quicker and, ironically, reduced our consumer base, as part of the law of unintended consequences.
